Science Teacher Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join our team and inspire students in the field of science. The Science Teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop their scientific knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum standards.
- Utilize instructional design techniques to create effective learning experiences.
- Teach science subjects as outlined in the Florida State Standards.
- Conduct experiments, demonstrations, and activities to enhance students’ understanding of scientific concepts.
- Guide students in laboratory work including experiments, dissections, and research projects.
- Utilize library services to enhance classroom learning through additional resources.
- Manage student behavior effectively using behavior management strategies.
- Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, and projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall science curriculum.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends.
