The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to achieve their academic goals. This role involves teaching various subjects, mentoring students, and contributing to the overall development of young minds. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in areas such as journalism, creative writing, and linguistics to engage students effectively. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Educate students in various subjects while integrating skills such as critical thinking and creativity. Utilize the Chicago Manual Style for teaching writing and formatting standards. Mentor and tutor students individually or in small groups to enhance their understanding of course material. Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback. Maintain organized records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding academic performance. Participate in educational administration tasks, including curriculum development and faculty meetings. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Strong knowledge of journalism, creative writing, linguistics, and education administration. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively. Proven experience in mentoring or tutoring students is highly desirable. Ability to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
