Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Friday 7:00 AM-1:00 PM Subject(s) Vary Middle school teachers are responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, maintaining a positive learning environment, and communicating with parents. They also supervise students outside the classroom and may work with students individually to address learning challenges. Key duties of a middle school teacher include: Assessing student progress: Evaluating student performance through various methods like tests, projects, and assignments, and providing feedback.
Maintaining a positive learning environment:
Establishing and enforcing classroom rules, addressing behavioral issues, and fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Communicating with parents and guardians:
Discussing student progress, addressing concerns, and building positive relationships with families.
Providing individual support: Working with students individually to address learning challenges, provide extra help, or offer individualized instruction.
Supervising students:
Monitoring students outside the classroom, during transitions, and during activities like lunch or detention.
Collaborating with school staff:
Working with other teachers, administrators, and specialists to ensure student success.
Participating in professional development: Staying current with best practices and educational research.
Maintaining accurate records:
Keeping track of attendance, grades, and student progress. Ensuring a safe and productive learning environment: Enforcing school rules and procedures, and creating a positive and engaging learning space for all students.
Planning and delivering lessons:
