Position Summary:

First Baptist Christian Academy (FBCA) is seeking a dynamic and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to inspire students in the areas of Pre-Algebra and other math-related courses. The ideal candidate will integrate a biblical worldview into math instruction while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of mathematical concepts. This position reports to the Secondary Principal and collaborates closely with the academic team to support student success in both academics and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with FBCA’s academic standards and Christian values.
• Teach various math courses, including Pre-Algebra and other middle school mathematics as needed.
• Integrate biblical principles into the curriculum to encourage students to see the connection between faith and mathematics.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support to foster academic growth.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love for learning.
• Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues regarding academic performance and student development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification and/or experience teaching high school mathematics in an educational setting.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• A committed Christian actively involved in a local church, aligned with FBCA’s mission and values.
• Ability to integrate faith into the academic curriculum and foster spiritual growth in students.
