The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science, fostering a love for learning and critical thinking. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, and assessing student progress in various scientific disciplines, including genetics and cell biology. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student engagement. Teach various science subjects, focusing on areas such as genetics, cell biology, and scientific research. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment. Assess student performance through tests, projects, and assignments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development to enhance the educational experience. Provide tutoring and additional support for students needing extra assistance in understanding scientific concepts. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field; higher education teaching experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of scientific principles and concepts across various disciplines. Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse learners. Experience in behavior management strategies within an educational setting. Familiarity with curriculum development processes and standards in science education. Background in scientific research is advantageous but not required. Ability to calculate data accurately for experiments and assessments.
