Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary:
ESE Teacher ESE Teachers at Trinity Christian School are those called to inspire a love of learning and love of Jesus Christ and are responsible for the overall management, spiritual guidance, and academic support for students with unique abilities. ESE Teachers ensure a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. ESE teachers collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and staff to promote instructional excellence, foster professional and spiritual growth, and advance the school’s mission of supporting parents in preparing students to embrace Biblical truth, strive for academic excellence, and model Christ-like leadership that will impact their world for Christ. : Model Christ in word and deed. Establish and maintain communication with parents. Work cooperatively with parents and teachers to identify students as potentially eligible for support services.. Develop appropriate Student Accommodation Plans (SAP). Collect student performance data and report student progress toward SAP. Supporting general education teachers in implementing appropriate accommodations. Schedule and conduct SAP meetings with parents and appropriate school and agency personnel. Maintain and/or oversee specialized therapists’ (i.e. SP). Provide pull out and push in services to students. Read Trinity Christian School email/staff communications to remain informed and respond if requested to do so. This should be done upon arrival, midday, and before departure. Attend Trinity Christian School staff meetings.
Attend/participate in:
Meet the Teacher, the Christmas program, Spring performance and other school-wide performances. Participate in the accreditation process for the school’s continuous improvement plan. Participate in professional development to stay current in the field. Adhere to specified professional dress. Integrate school-wide theme scriptures into the classroom to help further the mission of TCS. Discipline with love. Provide professional development and coaching for preschool staff. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Other duties as assigned. Strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ Commitment to the philosophy and Statement of Faith of Trinity Christian School A love of teaching, especially the Word The call of God to serve as a teacher/leader Excellent interpersonal skills with regard to children, their parents, staff and colleagues Spiritual gifts of teaching, discernment, leadership, and service Continuing professional development Computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills Flexibility Bachelor’s Degree in Exceptional Student Education or related field ACSI Certification (must apply within the first two weeks of employment) Classroom and/or ESE teaching experience preferred Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Full-time (40 hours/week); however, will be required to work evening events (student performances, etc).
