The main goal of Believers Academy is to reduce reading and math deficits while building vocational skills. Each student obtains and maintains employment. Through these accomplishments each student will increase their self-esteem and become a productive citizen. Position Summary Plans, prepares and implements the instructional process for each student within the classroom including, but not limited to; delivery of instruction, implementation of curriculum materials & educational software, and development of daily lesson plans & classroom schedule, which reflect state and school requirements as well the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the learner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential functions of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following: Understands how students learn and provides learning opportunities that support intellectual, social, and personal development of diverse learners Evaluates student progress and uses formal and informal assessment strategies to determine whether students have achieved high standards and modifies instructional strategies as needed to maximize achievement.

Ensure compliance with school requirements:

Collaborate with faculty in the implementation of the IEP. Attend and participate in parent meetings as required; maintain regular contact with parents as required by statute relate to students in special programs. Works effectively with school colleagues, parents, and the community to support students’ learning and well-being. Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff. Actively engages in professional development opportunities. Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent. Possession of valid Florida teaching certification in English, Math, and/or ESE. Reading endorsement/certification preferred. Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years successful teaching experience preferred (may include Student Teaching Internship experience). Successful results of criminal and employment background check and drug testing. Adherence to the requirements of the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.
