Our faculty brings diverse experiences and a shared passion for inspiring students and nurturing a lifelong love of learning. We welcome dedicated educators who demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth. We are currently seeking a Part-Time High School Engineering Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year to teach introductory and advanced engineering electives. Position Overview The Engineering Teacher will design and deliver engaging, hands-on courses in engineering and design principles, helping students build foundational skills in areas such as problem-solving, prototyping, mechanical systems, and design thinking. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through practical, project-based learning in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Teach up to 8-10 periods per week of engineering-focused electives. Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate design thinking, engineering concepts, and real-world applications. Incorporate tools and technologies such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and other prototyping equipment as appropriate. Create a classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and collaboration. Provide meaningful feedback and support student growth through formative and summative assessments. Maintain a safe and organized learning space, including coordination with the school Makerspace if applicable. Qualifications Prior teaching experience at the high school level is preferred. Strong content knowledge in engineering principles and hands-on design. Familiarity with digital fabrication tools (3D printing, laser cutting) and design software (e.g., Tinkercad, Fusion 360, SolidWorks) is a plus. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Passion for working with high school students and encouraging innovation and critical thinking. This is a part-time teaching position. Specific days and schedule will be determined based on school needs and candidate availability.
