We are seeking a passionate and committed Middle School Science Teacher who will inspire curiosity about God’s creation through engaging science instruction. Responsibilities:

Plan and teach science lessons (life, earth, and physical sciences) aligned with both academic standards and a biblical worldview. Create hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that reflect the wonder of God’s design. Integrate Scripture and Christian principles into the classroom environment and curriculum where appropriate. Foster a classroom culture that supports academic excellence, respect, and spiritual growth. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including support for students who need additional help or advanced challenges. Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments; provide timely and constructive feedback. Maintain open and positive communication with parents, colleagues, and administrators. Participate actively in school life, including chapel services, staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events. Uphold and support the mission, vision, and values of City Church Academy in all professional activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Current teaching certification/license (State of [Your State]); ACSI certification or willingness to obtain it is a plus. Prior middle school teaching experience is preferred. A mature and growing Christian faith with a commitment to integrating faith into teaching. Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills. Heart for ministry and the spiritual development of middle school students. I. Instruction Prepares in advance for each lesson of the day. Establishes learning expectations for all students. Evaluates pupils’ progress and keeps up to date records of pupils’ achievements. Applies contemporary principles of learning theory and teaching methodology. Integrates art, music, and movement into lessons for all subjects. Exhibits willingness to participate in the development and implementation of new ideas and teaching techniques. Provides bulletin board and interest areas that display current student work. Exhibits and applies knowledge of the content related to subject areas and instructional level. Makes students aware of the teacher’s objectives and expectations for each lesson. Students show evidence of acceptable progress in all subject areas. Implements multiple teaching methods to ensure that every child learns in their best way. II. Classroom Environment Establishes and maintains reasonable rules of conduct for the classroom consistent with the Family Success Plan. Ensures all students are treated with respect and dignity. Provides a nurturing environment that allows students to learn without judgement. Encourages student growth in self-discipline and positive self-concept. Practices fairness in teacher-pupil relationships. Exhibits an understanding and respect for students as individuals. II. Community Relationships Uses appropriate resources available in the community. Initiates appropriate conferences with parents, administrators, and/or ancillary personnel, in accordance with school procedures.
