Elementary Classroom Teacher, specializes in Language Arts/Literacy Faith Lutheran School 2111 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic and social development of young learners. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and implementing effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles. Candidates must be strong in their Christian faith with a desire to share the faith with young children in the classroom. Class size averages 15 students with a maximum of 18. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the needs of all students. Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment. Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods, providing feedback to students and parents. Incorporate library services into lesson plans to enhance literacy and research skills. Foster a love for learning by integrating Montessori principles where appropriate, encouraging exploration and creativity. Collaborate with colleagues in education administration to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students. Support students in developing essential skills in subjects such as Math, writing, and critical thinking. Engage with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding student progress and classroom activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Specializes in Language Arts/Literacy development. Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive atmosphere for all learners. Proficiency in proofreading educational materials and student work to ensure clarity and accuracy. Familiarity with library services and resources to enhance student learning experiences. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and best practices for student assessment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
