Teachers develop and share with students a 4-day/week lesson plan. If traveling or under the weather, students are able to keep up with their schoolwork when absent. Learnwell Teacher:

College degree in education Three or more years of successful classroom teaching experience

Responsibilities:

Develop lesson plans in 6th and 7th grade science each week and upload the plans, along with any essential materials, into the online portal by the weekly deadline given. Provide meaningful learning experiences in science for students on campus two days per week that reflect a high level of pedagogy and meet the learning objectives of Learnwell. Respond to parent and student emails in a timely manner (within 24 hours Monday-Friday). Meet with the principal and the entire faculty once per month for collaboration and encouragement. Attend most community-wide events offered to families (in-person or online).

Time Requirements:

The school year consists of 34 weeks, beginning 8/11/25 and ending 5/21/26, and contains a one-week Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break, as well as a three-week Christmas break.

Hybrid time requirements:

This teacher will teach on campus two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) every week school is in session during his/her assigned classes between 8:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Exact times for classes is TBD ( note: every attempt will be made to schedule Tuesday/Thursday classes back-to-back ). Additionally, this teacher will be on campus three days of pre-planning the week of 8/4/25 and one day of post-planning after the last week of school.

15 students per class in middle/high school classes
