PreK ParaPro 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Conyers, GA 30013 Summary Peachtree Prep is interviewing for a PreK ParaPro who inspires students to reach their full God-given potential. You will work in collaboration with the lead teacher to be a part of a cohesive teaching team, and assist with the implementation of the curriculum and managing the day-to-day operation of the classroom. It would be ideal if you understood children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Creating learning centers in the classroom with the teacher will make learning an even more exciting experience for the students. Duties Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met Ensure a healthy classroom environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and ensuring the safety and security of children Supervise classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities and safety standards Maintain accurate records, forms, and files Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement Evaluate student work. Coordinate student extracurricular activities. Guide class discussions. Attend training sessions or professional meetings to develop or maintain professional knowledge. Requirements Must have a combination of experience and a two-year or greater degree to be eligible for a PreK teaching position.
