After-School Teacher Sullivan Montessori School 10 Bud St, Sullivan, MO 63080 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters the intellectual and social development of students. This role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child’s growth. A strong commitment to education, along with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, is essential. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the varying needs of students. Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns. Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support students with special needs or those requiring additional assistance. Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices and methodologies. Skills The ideal candidate should possess the following skills: Strong background in Special Education or Early Childhood Education . Experience in Tutoring or providing Childcare services. Proven ability to work effectively with students of various backgrounds and abilities. Skills in Sports Coaching or experience leading activities at camps or in Daycare settings. Familiarity with Christian Counseling principles is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain accurate records of student progress.
