Salaried Position:
$27,829.00 (approximately $21.49 per hour) Purpose Statement The In School Suspension Facilitator provides instruction to students; facilitating student learning through activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women; and creating a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. This position reports to the building principal or assistant principal. Essential Functions Supervises students in a calm, focused environment throughout the school day Maintains structure and enforces behavioral expectations fairly and consistently Communicates with teachers to obtain assignments and support student progress Maintains records of attendance, behavior, and academic progress Builds positive relationships to support student reflection and personal growth Assists with time management, organization, and behavior redirection Communicates student concerns to administrators and support staff Keeps the classroom quiet, respectful, and conducive to learning Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in job related area
Preferred:
Experience working with high school students Background in education, behavioral support, or student supervision
Skills & Abilities:
