Grade Science Teacher Job Summary:

The 6th Grade Science Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous, knowledge-rich science instruction using the Core Knowledge Science (CKSci) curriculum. This role focuses on helping students build a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and vocabulary through a coherent sequence of topics in earth, life, and physical sciences. The teacher will implement lessons that emphasize content mastery, hands-on investigations, scientific inquiry, and literacy integration. Collaboration with colleagues, clear communication with families, and effective classroom management are essential to supporting student success and maintaining high academic standards. CKSci 6th grade typically includes units such as: Cells and Genetics Classification of Living Things Human Body Systems Astronomy Energy and Heat Ecology
