Teaching Full Job Description Role Summary :
The 6th Grade Math & Science Teacher, with a strong commitment to providing a private school education with a Biblical worldview, delivers lessons that develop students’ understanding and skills in math and science. They create and implement lesson plans, assess student performance, communicate with parents, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive and effective learning environment. They are intentional about showing Christ and His love through their teaching and care of the students.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Plan and present lessons to facilitate students’ understanding and application of math and science concepts to achieve curriculum objectives Prepare and distribute learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes. Grade assignments and quizzes in a timely manner. Teach Math and Science as assigned following prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the Dean of Academics Employ a variety of instructional aids and technological resources as well as methods and materials that will provide for the creative teaching to reach the whole student Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to spark a love for learning in our students Provide periodic updates to parents/guardians about student progress via both written reports and conferences Maintain regular and prompt attendance and grade records in Ren Web FACTS. Keep students, parents/guardians, and administration informed of deficiencies Create a positive and safe learning environment for all students and hold students accountable for conduct Maintain ASCI certification with professional development; glean from experience and ideas of peer teachers Attend all school staff meetings and scheduled professional development sessions and workshops Other duties as assigned by the
Dean of Academics Qualifications :
Review and affirm, without reservation to the Core Statements adopted by CCA include the CCA Mission, Vision, Core Values, Community Life Statement, Statement of Faith, Philosophy of Christian Education, School-wide Learning Outcomes, and Instructional Values. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in education with a specialization in math or science Ability to obtain NH teacher certification or ACSI teacher certification Proven experience as a teacher with a thorough understanding of best practices
