Your time at the before and after school programs will require energy, patience and a spirit of cooperation. The children are either at the beginning or end of their day and caring staff can make all the difference to a child during those important before and after school hours. Your goal each day should be to check in with each child, even if it’s just to say hello. Children look up to our Team Members as role models and we want you to make a difference! So, if you are looking to have just as much fun as the kids, come join our team! Our off-site School Age Program is located in the Auburn Village Elementary School The hours are 6:45-8:45am and/or 2:30-6pm Monday thru Friday. We offer flexible schedules! Duties Daily Activities can be planned using the provided curriculum book and should consist of large & small group activities, child directed activities, and gross motor games. You must be prepared for all responsibilities including: Helping to maintain a safe environment for children and staff Encouraging positive behavior guidance Greeting parents and children daily Helping to train new staff members as needed Attending monthly staff meetings at your program and the NMS main office Following the day-to-day staff assignments Communicating with the office when needed Being a substitute for staff at another location if needed Requirements At least 17 years of age 600+ hours of experience or 3+ EDU/ECE college credits Nice To Haves 1-2+ years experience working with school age children CPR/First Aid Certification Benefits Free school age child care (if your child attends a school with one of our locations in it) Yearly return bonus/pay increase
