$40.4K – $58K a year 1 hour ago Qualifications Mid-level Organizational skills 2 years Communication skills Full Job Description We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced School Adjustment Counselor/EF Teacher to join our team at Windham Woods programs. The school is looking to add a position in the middle school that involves working with students on an individual basis, in small groups, and in classes of students (10 or less) teaching EF and social communication strategies. Windham Woods School offers a unique program for students and families looking for a more hands-on, dynamic educational setting. The chosen candidate will work closely with students, families, and faculty to provide counseling services, EF coaching, and support to promote the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. The School Counselor should be experienced and comfortable with supporting the needs of students with learning differences, with an understanding of the intersection of social-emotional needs and learning.

Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling services to students with learning differences Teach classes of 10 or less students, focusing on EF skills, especially organization and social communication strategies Identify student needs and develop individualized plans and interventions for academic and social success Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure student progress and success Develop and implement programs to address student behavioral and emotional challenges Provide crisis intervention and support as needed Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote a positive school culture and climate Attend professional development and training opportunities as required
