About Us:
Reaction Lab is a hands-on science lab for children ages 3-12, where young scientists explore the world through fun, interactive experiments. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Educator to join our team and help foster a love of science in our students.
Please note:
This is not a tutoring role. The position involves leading fun, educational group activities.
Position Overview:
The Science Educator will play a key role in developing and delivering engaging lessons, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and keeping science fun and exciting. This role combines curriculum development, instruction, administrative and general lab support, and parent interaction to create a great experience for both children and families.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans and activities aligned with Reaction Lab’s curriculum standards. Design hands-on, age-appropriate experiments across a variety of subjects such as basic physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, and more. Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging educational materials for different learning styles. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve programs and ensure a high-quality experience for all participants. Assist with administrative tasks and event coordination as needed.
Provide friendly customer service:
greet families, answer questions, and ensure every visitor feels welcome and supported.
Schedule:
We are open Wednesday through Sunday. Schedule will include a combination of weekday and weekend hours.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children ages 3-12 in an educational or enrichment setting. STEM background. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, parents, and colleagues. Passion for science education and inspiring young learners.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$20.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
