QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid NYS Certification in Spanish 7-12 with 5-6 extension. Demonstrated knowledge of Spanish Knowledge in research-based instructional strategies Demonstrated ability to teach at the middle school levels Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and to interact positively with students, colleagues and parents. Demonstrated proficiency in meeting all school routines in an efficient and responsible manner Ability to use data to assess student progress and performance and plan instruction to meet the needs of all learners Knowledgeable in reliable methods of classroom management Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct learners Demonstrated willingness to contribute to students outside of the classroom (i.e. class/club advisor, chaperone at school-wide events) Effective interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated ability to infuse technology to enhance instruction
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach Spanish grades 5-8 Contribute to whole school environment

District employees (Probationary and tenured teachers requesting a transfer within their current tenure area, Teaching Assistants who currently fully certified in the appropriate tenure area ) may apply by submitting a letter of interest to Human Resources with a copy to the building principal. E-mailed letters of interest are not acceptable. The original signed letters of interest must be submitted by the end of the day on June 17, 2025.
