RANGE FROM 15 TO 17 PER WEEK GROUP LEADERS/CLASSROOM INSTRUCTORS
are the front-line staff who are integral to passing on and supporting these efforts. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for working with youth and the ability to foster positive relationships while implementing educational activities and behavior management strategies. You will work with the classroom students to boost their imagination, help them learn to inhibit negative behaviors, enhance interpersonal skills, master academic performance, and build self-confidence. Create Lesson Plans and activities for the children Do Homework Help with the children You will also work beside professional Activity Specialists who provide instructions in various performance arts, dance, archery, visual art, STEM, athletics, and other In addition, Group Leaders are very important as they assist children in recognizing their strengths and areas for improvement, in order to reach self-awareness. PLEASE NOTE
This position requires that you are available Monday – Friday and some holidays. Summer Camp hours varies and group leader/classroom instructors are selected by our needs.
EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES
We are looking for dedicated individuals who are disciplined, organized, alert, hardworking, and capable of creating activities for children in our programs. Applicants must be dedicated to positive youth development, and have at least 2 years of experience working with children grades K-5, or PreK Energetic, enthusiastic, cooperative, creative, sharp, learns quickly, and is willing to collaborate with a partner Has a pleasant personality with children, co-workers, and management Has at least 2 years of experience working with children preferably in an after school Be patient with good classroom management skills Must be reliable, punctual, honest, and have excellent interpersonal skills Able to present yourself as a positive role model Have Lesson planning and implementation skills a PLUS Very good communication and lesson implementation skills Creative skills such as dance, drama, music, sports, or visual arts are a plus.
