Secondary/Middle School Teacher Position Available In Jefferson, Pennsylvania

Punxsutawney Christian School is a faith-driven institution dedicated to providing a nurturing and academically challenging environment where students can grow spiritually, intellectually and emotionally. We are committed to shaping students into well-rounded individuals who are grounded in Christ’s teachings, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate middle school teacher to join our team with a desire towards the sciences (Physics).We are seeking a dedicated and Christ-centered Middle School Teacher to help our students develop a strong academic foundation and deep-rooted faith in Christ. The ideal candidate will inspire students with a love for learning, integrate biblical principles into curriculum, and foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes both spiritual and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement our curriculum.
• Ability to teach middle school students across core subjects including Math, English, Bible, History, and Science.
• Create a positive, supportive, and structured classroom environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and school administration to ensure academic and spiritual success of students.
• Attend and participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education preferred but not required, Middle School Education, or a related field (a Christian Degree is a plus).
• Active Christian faith and a passion for integrating Christ-centered teachings into the classroom.
• Previous teaching experience at the middle school level is preferred but not required for the right person.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with fellow staff members and school leadership.
• Willingness to support and promote the school’s mission and values.

Experience preferred, but not required.
