This role is eligible for a $5,000 bonus as well as up to $5,000for relocation expenses! New teachers start at $60,000, withMastery offering up to $82,000 based on experience and education.

Salaries range from $60,000 to $111,000, with growth opportunitiesas your career progresses.

As we embark on an exciting newchapter with the launch of our Technology program, we are lookingfor individuals who are passionate about shaping the future ofdigital literacy and Computer Science (CS) education. Whether youare starting your teaching career or are looking to launch a newchapter – your passion for technology, your experience, and yourcommitment to making a difference will be deeply valued. At ourschool, opportunities for growth and impact are limitless, and weare committed to closing the gap in access to CS for students ofcolor by building a comprehensive K-12 CS pathway. Your role willbe crucial in ensuring students learn the digital literacy skillsrequired for post-secondary success. Through our new CreativeComputing course, open to students in grades 9-12, you will havethe opportunity to spark interest in CS and encourage students topursue additional CS courses in the future. This one-semestercourse covers the foundations of CS, including the basics of HTML,CSS, and JavaScript, utilizing the CodeHS curriculum. Your naturaltalents will be fostered in this innovative environment, and wewill provide the training and support to help you become anincredibly effective teacher. At Mastery we value ContinuousImprovement and want you to learn and grow in your craft. Weutilize a team of Assistant Principals, central-office coaches, andschool-based content teams to provide every teacher coaching andfeedback. We have professional development or peer collaborationtime built into our staff calendar.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Commit to ongoing professionaldevelopment in the spirit of continuous improvement Developrigorous and appropriate lesson plans, assignments, and assessmentsin cooperation with Mastery school-based leadership and curricularresources developed by Mastery’s Central Office Academic Team Workclosely with school leaders to analyze student assessment data tomeasure progress and use data to inform instruction Collaborate ingrade level teams to discuss student work, share best practices,plan events for joy and humor, and ensure student mastery ofstandards Engage families in their children’s education by buildingrelationships and maintaining regular communication

Education andExperience:

Bachelor’s degree required with a record of personal,professional, and/or academic achievement Teacher certification-completed or in process Commitment to and experience working withunderserved communities Determination to drive student achievementand set high expectations for all students Demonstrated expertisein subject area

Physical Requirements:

Ability to physicallyperform the essential duties of the role, and to work in theenvironmental conditions required, such as: traveling to networkcampuses; maneuvering in office spaces (including standing,walking, sitting for long periods of time, speaking loudly andclearly, seeing and hearing things both near and far away);stooping, kneeling, reaching file cabinets/shelves; fine finger andhand manipulation in use of computer, chalkboard, dry erase,&/or projectors; filing, faxing, scanning, coping, typing,mailing, and making phone calls; sitting for up to two (2) hourslooking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard/mouse, and typing.
