Summer Camp Teacher Gabel Martial Arts 372 East 5th North Street, Summerville, SC 29483 Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and foster a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork among campers. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities. Plan and lead engaging activities such as arts and crafts, games, and team building activities. Foster a supportive environment that promotes teamwork and inclusivity. Provide guidance and mentorship to campers, helping them develop new skills. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members. Maintain a clean and organized camp area. Administer first aid as necessary and ensure all health protocols are followed. Assist in managing camper behavior through effective classroom management techniques. Requirements Previous experience in babysitting, childcare, or daycare settings is preferred. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive environment. Experience working with students or children in various capacities is advantageous. Knowledge of special education practices is a plus. Passion for working with children in a camp setting and promoting their personal development. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members. A background in theater or performing arts is a nice-to-have skill for leading creative activities.
