This role requires a collaborative and innovative educator who values interdisciplinary teaching and is committed to nurturing the whole child. Key Responsibilities Design and implement a rigorous, standards-based curriculum in literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies through engaging PBL projects that integrate hands-on learning and critical thinking. Scaffold learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of third graders, supporting their transition to more complex problem-solving and independent thinking. Embed CCS’s core values—empathy, integrity, community, optimism, and advocacy—into classroom activities to foster personal growth and social responsibility. Leverage the school’s outdoor campus to create experiential learning opportunities that connect academic content to the natural environment. Emphasize collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills to support the development of positive peer relationships and effective group dynamics. Monitor and assess student progress using data-driven methods, providing targeted feedback to help students achieve academic and personal goals. Partner with colleagues to align curriculum and share interdisciplinary teaching strategies. Communicate with families to celebrate successes and address challenges.
