School of the Arts 1103 S 6th St, Hartsville, SC 29550 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching various levels of mathematics, including trigonometry, and supporting students in their academic journey. The Mathematics Teacher will play a crucial role in curriculum development and the overall educational experience of students. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Teach mathematics concepts, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the mathematics curriculum and share best practices. Conduct scientific research projects related to mathematical applications where applicable. Provide support for students in higher education settings, including tutoring and mentoring. Utilize library services and resources to enhance teaching materials and student learning. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends. Experience A degree in Mathematics or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred. Proven experience in higher education teaching or classroom instruction is highly desirable. Familiarity with curriculum development processes and educational standards. Experience with special education practices is a plus. Strong proofreading skills for reviewing educational materials and assessments.
