Principal Position Overview:

The Middle School Elective Teacher provides specialized instruction in elective subjects such as technology, foreign languages, or other enrichment areas. This role involves creating engaging, hands-on lessons that enhance students’ educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement curriculum for a variety of elective subjects. Engage students in interactive, project-based learning experiences. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Foster a supportive and collaborative classroom environment. Participate in school-wide events and activities. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student development. Maintain accurate records of student performance. Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred. Valid South Carolina teaching certification. Experience teaching elective subjects at the middle school level. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively; sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and instructional materials.
