After-School Teacher Position Available In Greenville, South Carolina

After-School Teacher 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 2825 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681 Candidates will be required but not limited to the following activities:

• Prepare and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans. Lesson plans should meet guidelines set forth by Adora Childcare and meet the South Carolina Early Education Standards. – Monitor and assist with homework from K-5 to 5th-grade levels. Provide extra tutoring as needed.
• Create an environment in the classroom that promotes play-based learning and self-exploration.
• Prepare and conduct organized outdoor activities on a regular basis.
• Conduct assessments and developmental screening on students and keep an accurate portfolio of their individual progress.
• Meet with parents on a semi-annual basis and as need to discuss child’s progress and developmental goals.
• Communicate with parents effectively on a regular basis. Inform parents of children’s daily activities through a consistent form of communication.
• Meet the children’s basic needs in a prompt manner. This includes but is not limited to feeding, diapering, cleaning, assisting with restroom and any other needs that may arise.
• Have a passion for working with children and early education. Must have a kid friendly attitude.
• Handle self in a professional manner with parents, children and staff at all times.
• Is familiar with state regulations and implement in classroom setting.
• Clean, sanitize and organize classroom or other locations in the facility on daily routine basis or when prompted.
• Obtain and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Must successfully meet and maintain required screenings required by state licensing and Adora Childcare.
• Meet state licensing training hour requirements.
• Must have 6 months experience in a licensed child care facility and/or BA in early childhood development or related field.
• Second language may be preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
