5th to 8th Grade Teacher Nashville Homeschool Center Nashville, TN 37224 We are excited to expand our team at our Nashville-based homeschool center! Our teachers, foreign language instructors, and local experts in various fields work together to re-imagine education through active, meaningful child-centered learning. We are seeking a qualified individual who is excited to participate in the development of a new learning environment. The full-time position offers teachers the opportunity to collaborate on curriculum and implement new teaching practices.

Responsibilities include:
Creating student curriculum and daily lessons that encourage students to be actively engaged in learning. Working with the students both individually and in groups. Preparing educational materials and daily written lesson plans. Conducting daily lessons and activities for children in a safe environment. Collaborating with faculty members and local experts to implement activities and special projects. Helping to plan field trips and expeditionary learning activities. Communicating with students, faculty, and families to ensure the highest quality educational experience for students. Supervising students during free play, outdoor play, and field trips. Assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the center.
Qualifications:
Must hold a teaching certificate and/or have a degree in Education. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience. Have a strong knowledge of child development and school programs. Willing to work in mixed age-group classrooms.
