School Administration Position Summary:
Smithson Craighead Academy, in partnership with Home of Potential and Excellence (H.O.P.E.), is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Summer Program Teachers to support our students in academic growth and enrichment during the 2025 summer session. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on student success in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging academic lessons aligned with grade-level standards and summer learning goals Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs Monitor student behavior and implement classroom management strategies Collaborate with program staff, support personnel, and administrators Maintain accurate attendance and progress records Participate in mandatory virtual training on May 29, 2025 Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians Uphold the policies and values of Smithson Craighead Academy and H.O.P.E.
Qualifications:
Required:
Valid teaching certification Experience working with school-age children Strong classroom management and instructional skills Commitment to educational equity and student development
Preferred:
Previous experience in summer learning or enrichment programs Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Employment Details:
This is a temporary, part-time position for the duration of the summer program. All staff will be compensated via direct deposit from Smithson Craighead Academy.
