4th Grade Teacher Redemption Point Christian Academy 3831 Ooltewah Ringgold Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363 www.rpcacademy.com Redemption Point Christian Academy is looking for a 4th grade homeroom teacher to prepare children for the next grade level. The teacher would be responsible for English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies (SS) for one group of 4th and one group of 5th grade students. You will teach them not only academics but Biblical teachings. A teacher must have a great love and patience for children and the Word. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and educational methods, as well as the ability to engage them. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education. Responsibilities Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.) Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times Track children’s progress and report to parents Communicate with parents regularly Collaborate with other educators Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Skills Skills can be in the form of both traditional and non-traditional teaching pathways. Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methodology Familiarity with classroom management techniques Excellent communication and instructional skills Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Balance between a creative mind and a practical application Education Degree required Experience as a Teacher in a school setting preferred Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain one is preferred but not required

No Schedule :
Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 3:15pm – some Friday trainings
