Compensation Base Pay:
$50,000 Actual pay is dependent on the highest degree earned, number of years of relevant experience, and supplements included in the contract Minimum Requirements Must pass a background check Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field Possess or be able to acquire an active Tennessee teaching license with endorsement in the appropriate field Preferred Active Tennessee teaching license with endorsement to teach 9-12 grade level courses1 Experience teaching in a relevant subject and grade band Other Able to support the school and district through club sponsorship, ongoing professional development, school sports coaching, and/or attendance at extracurricular events Certification (or ability to earn certification) to teach Advanced Placement courses Why Work in Houston County, Tennessee Houston County, TN, is a small school district with approximately 1,250 students attending four campuses, resulting in a low student-to-staff ratio.
