We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our team and provide exceptional instruction to students in grades 6-8, teaching Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra. Position Summary The Math Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to students in grades 6 through 8. This individual will provide engaging, challenging, and faith-centered lessons that not only strengthen students’ math skills but also nurture their growth as thoughtful and compassionate individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong Catholic identity, a deep understanding of middle school math concepts, and the ability to integrate faith with academics. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver effective, faith-integrated lessons in Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra for students in grades 6-8. Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where all students are encouraged to excel. Design assessments, assignments, and activities to monitor and support student progress. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to address diverse learning styles and needs. Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance in mastering math concepts. Foster the spiritual growth of students by incorporating Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum. Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events. Uphold the mission and values of the Catholic faith in daily interactions and instruction.

Requirements:

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required). Valid Tennessee Teaching License with endorsement in middle school mathematics. Proven experience teaching math at the middle school level (grades 6-8), including Pre-Algebra and Algebra (preferred). Excellent classroom management skills and ability to maintain a positive learning environment. Ability to integrate faith and academics effectively. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Education or Mathematics. Experience with differentiated instruction and individualized learning plans. Familiarity with using technology in the classroom, including educational software and interactive learning tools.
