Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-centered English Teacher to join our Middle and High School faculty. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching English at various secondary levels, including Advanced Placement (AP) English Language and/or Literature .

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in English Language Arts for middle and high school students Prepare students for success in AP English Language and/or AP English Literature Develop and assess a variety of instructional materials and assignments that challenge students to think critically Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and parents to support student learning Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred) Valid teaching certification ( Prefered) Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, with proven success in teaching AP-level courses Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to fostering academic excellence and a supportive learning environment Why Join Pleasant View School?
