Thrive Tutoring is seeking two exceptional private educators to join a dynamic family based in Brentwood, TN, for a full-time, yearlong teaching placement. This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to work closely with three highly engaged children—rising 3rd, 5th, and 7th graders—in a home-based learning environment that values academic rigor , cultural exploration , and educational flexibility . Needs:

Youngest and oldest are academically advanced and need enrichment. Middle student benefits from structured support for minor ADHD and executive function.

Travel:

The family travels frequently (approx. 50% of the year), with educators accompanying for ~30%.

Responsibilities:

Teacher 1: Math & ScienceTeacher 2: English Language Arts & Social Studies Deliver daily instruction (~5-6 hrs/day) across core academic subjects Develop personalized, differentiated lesson plans aligned with (or exceeding) grade-level standards Create project-based learning opportunities , especially during travel (e.g., using a trip to Japan to explore geography, culture, and science) Support executive function, focus, and behavioral accommodations as needed Foster strong relationships with students through consistent, supportive instruction Collaborate with the other teacher and the family to align on pacing, educational goals, and instructional planning

Schedule:

At home (Brentwood, TN): ~8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday-Friday During travel: Flexible 5-6 hour instructional days, with at least 2 days off per week Travel is mostly during the academic year; summer is largely home-based

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of full-time teaching or tutoring experience (private, public, or homeschool) Strong academic background in upper elementary and/or middle school content Experience in: Differentiated instruction Gifted/enrichment education Supporting students with ADHD or executive functioning challenges Self-directed and confident designing and leading instruction independently Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, grounded teaching style Valid passport and willingness to travel by air and sea Highly organized, dependable, and adaptable Committed to a full academic year (with potential to renew)
