  • College of Fine Arts Responsibilities Responsible for greeting and assisting customers (visitors, students, special guests, faculty, and staff) of the office of the Dean via personal, telephone, and email interactions.

Serves as the first point of contact to accurately direct inquiries throughout the Dean’s Office and the College. Supports general office workflow. Performs a variety of standard clerical tasks such as filing (physical and electronic), record retention, mail distribution, phone support, data entry, basic report preparation, data reconciliation, document creation, and editing. Creates and mails Dean’s Letters for students each semester. Orders and receives office supplies and performs inventory functions. Assist with events coordination including set up and tear down of events. Works with Communications team to assist with social media and content writing and editing. Maintains appearance of Dean’s Office and shared spaces within the Facility for Art Research building by organizing supplies and paperwork. Delivers and retrieves materials to and from the College and University offices both on and off campus. Provides limited direct support to the Dean under the supervision of the Dean’s Assistant. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Basic knowledge of computer applications (ex. Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint or their equivalents on other platforms). Ability to perform routine errands both on and off campus to the College of Fine Arts buildings. Ability to function independently with minimal to moderate supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an office setting requiring advanced customer service skills. Experience with writing and editing in relation to public facing communications. Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and etiquette. Experience proactively addressing situations independently. Experience with events management. Experience with social media platforms. Excellent organizational skills. Multitasking and time-management skills. Hands-on experience with office equipment including fax machines, copiers and printers.
