Job Description:

The Program Director will be responsible for the development,management, and promotion of pickleball programs; the organizingand scheduling of all programming including clinics, leagues,camps, open play, and tournaments. This position reports directlyto the General Manager at the Jacksonville, FL location.

TASKS ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Organize, schedule, administer and promote leagues, roundrobins, drop-in/open-play, ladders, social events, tournaments,lessons and all other pickleball programming. Responsible for all club and pickleball activity programming,including developing and promoting pickleball programs for all agegroups. Organize, schedule, and manage daily operation of 5-6leagues/quarter or more. Manage and monitor court schedules to maximize usage. Promote club memberships to all potential prospects. Responsible for the supervision of the pickleball teachingprofessionals and coaches including scheduling pickleball clinicsand private lessons. Initiate and execute the selection, hiring, coaching,mentoring, and educating of all pickleball personnel in a mannerthat reinforces the club’s values and philosophies and ensures theoperation of the departments meet company standards. Post regularly to the Jacksonville PickleRage social mediaaccounts, including updates to programming or events, livestreamingchampionship matches, and other imagery/posts highlighting play atthe facility. Ability to regularly work during operational hours includingevenings, weekends, and select holidays. Must ensure on-call availability to respond to issues relatedto pickleball programs. Ensure that the environment is safe for all those who use thefacility. Adhere to all the various companies, club and departmentwritten mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures,manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make upthe essential functions of the job. Be an integral part of the management team. Conduct quarterly meetings with teaching professionals/coachesand club staff. Implement and stay current with new teaching techniques andreceive certifications. Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ANDREQUIREMENTS

Experience in a position such as Pro, Head Pro, Manager, orhave served in an Assistant Director or Director position forpickleball, tennis, or other racquet sports or equivalentposition. Teaching certifications from PPR or equivalent is a plus. Excellent communication skills including oral, written, andlistening. Ability to motivate, organize and lead others. Court Reserve knowledge and experience a plus. Experience creating, organizing, and executing leagues,tournaments, and sport related programming. Outgoing personality and the ability to create and maintain apositive environment through interaction and communication withmembers, guests, and staff. Proficiency in posting on social media platforms includingFacebook and Instagram. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuantwith industry demands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Onsite at our PickleRagefacility in Jacksonville, FL. Involves performing in aprofessional, sports-centric environment that includes court play,retain and member services.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit andstand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to perform lightmaintenance work which may require climbing, stooping, squatting,kneeling, reaching above the head and reaching forward.

Occasionally climbs ladders. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
