This senior-level position is responsible for supervising a high-performing team, strengthening donor pipelines, and advancing the Federation’s overall Campaign goals through targeted relationship-building and community engagement. This role plays a critical leadership function within the development change to the Campaign department and requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of affinity-based fundraising, and a passion for Jewish communal life. Role and Impact The AVP, Affinities oversees a cross-functional portfolio designed to engage key segments of the South Palm Beach County community. Through supervision of the directors of assigned affinity areas and management of a personal portfolio of donors and prospects, the position ensures a comprehensive and coordinated approach to engagement, cultivation, and solicitation. As a member of the campaign management team, this role contributes to the vision and direction of Federation’s philanthropic strategy. Key Responsibilities Team Supervision & Strategic Oversight Supervise and guide directors of Women’s Philanthropy, Business & Professional, and Emerging/Younger Donor engagement and new affinity areas Align team activities with Federation wide strategic objectives and fundraising benchmarks Ensure effective time and resource allocation to optimize philanthropic outcomes and donor engagement Portfolio Management & Solicitation Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors and prospects through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies Identify opportunities to upgrade giving and deepen commitment through personalized engagement Leverage events, parlor meetings, and Federation initiatives to connect donors with impact Campaign Management & Cross-Department Collaboration Serve as a key member of the Campaign management team, contributing to department-wide strategy Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated fundraising approach Represent affinity interests in Federation wide planning and decision-making
