Job Description:

Norfolk Public Schools is seeking a part time elementary music teacher for the 2025 – 2026 school year. The position is .4 or two days a week. The instrumental music day is flexible. The music teacher will prepare and deliver general music, choral and instrumental music instruction to PK-6 grade students that aligns with the Common Core State Standards and the National Core Arts Standards.

Responsibilities :

Plan and deliver general, choral and instrumental music instruction to PK-6 grade students Differentiate instruction to support each student’s creative and musical development Establish and maintain a positive learning environment Collaborate with staff members and parents to support student learning Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational and time management skills Prepare for winter and spring concerts and other performances Appreciate and utilize the community’s musical resources available in
