JOB PURPOSE

The Music Department has an extensive after-school private instruction program and is accepting applications for possible openings for August 2023 and beyond. The school has a set fee schedule for lessons. Lessons staff are part-time AIS employees and are paid through the school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide private music lesson instructions to students in 30, 45, or 60-minute weekly lessons. This is a part-time position, perhaps one or two afternoons per week (instructor sets schedule with parents) from 3:00 PM onward.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s in Music Education (preferred) OR Performance with professional proficiency and experience with teaching, performance, and pedagogy. Master or Doctorate level college students with experience in teaching and the recommendation of two college instructors may also apply.
