Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Teacher to join our team and inspire a love for music in students from Kindergarten through 12th grade . The ideal candidate will be committed to RCA’s mission of spiritual development and academic excellence, demonstrating a deep understanding of music education within a Christian context. The Music Teacher will design and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that includes vocal and instrumental training, music theory, and appreciation, as well as performances that glorify God and reflect RCA’s values.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a K-12 music curriculum that aligns with RCA’s mission and vision, fostering musical growth and spiritual development. Teach vocal and instrumental music, music theory, and appreciation to students at varying grade levels. Plan and direct school-wide musical programs, including Christmas concerts, chapel worship, and spring performances. Integrate biblical principles into music education, highlighting the role of music in worship and spiritual expression. Encourage student participation in music-related extracurricular activities and community events. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support school-wide events and initiatives. Maintain a safe, orderly, and Christ-centered learning environment. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and spiritual encouragement. Foster an appreciation for diverse music genres while maintaining a focus on Christian worship and praise. Manage classroom supplies, instruments, and music technology effectively. Participate in professional development and spiritual growth activities to enhance instructional skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (Master’s preferred). Teaching certification in Music Education (K-12) preferred. Strong vocal and instrumental proficiency with the ability to lead group performances. Commitment to Christian education and integration of biblical principles in teaching. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and inspire students of all ages and skill levels. Familiarity with music technology and digital platforms for classroom instruction. A heart for ministry and a desire to impact students for Christ.

Preferred Attributes:
