The Elementary Music Teacher & Worship Team Director will inspire students through high-quality music instruction that aligns with a Biblical worldview. This educator will foster a love of music in young learners by delivering engaging lessons focused on music theory, vocal training, rhythm, and instrumental practice. In addition to classroom responsibilities, this role includes leading and developing a student worship team, guiding students in musical and spiritual growth, and supporting school-wide chapels and special events. Duties and Responsibilities Plan and deliver comprehensive general music lessons for elementary students, incorporating music theory, vocal and instrumental instruction, movement, and appreciation. Employ diverse teaching methods, including technological tools, hands-on activities, and differentiated instruction to meet a wide range of student needs. Create and maintain a safe, joyful, and engaging classroom environment that supports creativity, participation, and student expression. Recruit, mentor, and lead a student worship team (grades 6-12) to participate in weekly chapels and other school events. Select appropriate worship music in alignment with the school’s spiritual mission and calendar. Coordinate and lead worship rehearsals, coaching students musically and spiritually to lead with excellence and humility. Collaborate with Administration to plan and implement chapel services and other worship opportunities. Support and participate in school-wide performances such as Christmas programs, spring concerts, and special ceremonies. Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Academics.
Qualifications :
Review and affirm, without reservation to the Core Statements adopted by CCA include the CCA Mission, Vision, Core Values, Community Life Statement, Statement of Faith, Philosophy of Christian Education, School-wide Learning Outcomes, and Instructional Values. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Music Education, Music Performance, Worship Arts, or a related field. Knowledge of and experience with vocal and/or instrumental instruction for children. Strong organizational and leadership skills with experience mentoring students in worship leadership preferred. New Hampshire State Teaching License or eligibility to obtain the credential Obtain and maintain teacher certification from Association of Christian Schools International Proven experience in a classroom preferable within an elementary school setting with a thorough understanding of best practices
