This position is a traveling position where the ideal candidate will teach orchestra and string lessons at three of our five elementary buildings. The assignment is subject to change in the future. This is a probationary appointment with salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teachers’ Association’s collective bargaining agreement. The candidate must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills, effective classroom management and be motivated to engage in continuous professional learning. A music teacher is responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment and for assisting every student in reaching his/her potential. Teachers are responsible for the planning and preparation of their lessons; providing a safe classroom environment; leading effective instruction and participating in long-range planning which includes their own professional development.

Job Qualifications Required Certification:

Music (Pre K-12)

Experience and Skills Preferred:
