Art & Music Instructor Position Available In Monroe, New York

Art & Music Instructor Social Thrive Rochester, NY 14610 Calling all creative hearts and joyful spirits! Do you love art, music, and making people smile? We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Teacher who’s ready to spark creativity and confidence in a small group of amazing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)! The Breakdown… Each week, you’ll host: 3 sessions in one day (just once a week!) Each session includes two back-to-back 45-minute classes — one for Art , one for Music You’ll have a 10-minute break in between to prep, stretch, sip your tea, or dance it out 4 clients per session = a total of 12 clients across the day That’s a 6-hour workday for $300 ($50/hr) – and yes, it’s $1,200/month , paid monthly , whether the clients attend or not!

What I’m Looking For:

Not in for advanced projects — I’m all about progress, joy, and simplicity . The goal? Help clients understand, enjoy, and feel proud of what they create.

Looking for someone who is:

Creative, kind, and full of enthusiasm Patient and understanding (but can hold respectful boundaries) Able to keep things simple, structured, and fun! Ready to celebrate small wins and think on their feet when needed

What You’ll Do:

Lead fun, hands-on art & music activities Keep things easy, engaging, and confidence-boosting Notice client progress and adjust ideas accordingly Create a supportive, cheerful, and respectful classroom vibe Be timely and organized with each class

Qualifications:
