Lakes is in search of an Music Instructor, who is at least 18 years of age, to plan and execute lessons and activities to 200+ campers ages 4
• 14 in an outdoor summer day camp setting.

Knowledge of musical instruments is not required, just a general interest or passion for music, rhythm, and movement is needed!

Duties include:

• Planning lessons and activities with the Camp Director that involve simple and basic musical activities and games, dance, crafts, movement, and sing-alongs. No instrumental lessons
• these programs are for the general camper population who may or may not have a passion for music.
• Coordinating with other instructors within the department
• Carrying out lesson and activity plans daily in 40-minute sessions (about 15-20 campers per session).
• Supervising campers
• Instructing counselors to assist with activities/lessons as necessary. Salary dependent on experience and certification, starting at $15 per hour
• Needed from June 27th
• August 8th, weekdays, 9:00am
• 3:00pm but hours/days may be flexible if needed.

Camp Description:

A six-week outdoor experience for children entering Pre-K through 7th Grade. Located within beautiful Mt. Lakes Park on Hawley Road, North Salem, New York. Our programs are educational and fun! Each day, campers will be immersed in hands-on projects, science and discovery programs, safety and environmental projects, and much more! Campers will have the chance to enjoy some outdoor cooking, go fishing in our lake, and participate in hikes on one of the many woodland trails. Our older campers (4th grade and up) will be given Archery lessons as well as time on our lake in one of our many canoes, kayaks, or rowboats. We have a large, in-ground pool, fully staffed with certified lifeguards and a Water Safety Instructor to help campers learn to swim. www.northsalemdaycamp.org
