WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Music Education or a related field. Current PA Music K-12 Certificate is required Experience leading ensembles and organizing public performances. Ability to inspire students and foster a love of music Strong knowledge of music theory, history, performance, and instructional methods. Excellent communication, organization and classroom management skills.
WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR US
Recruit for and cultivate our district Band programs (Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band) Create lesson plans for HS Music Technology, Music Theory, AP Music Theory, and Guitar classes, as well as concert band class, that promote musical literacy, instrumental technique, ensemble technique, while addressing the needs of each student individually Observe students’ progress and communicate with parents to ensure that they are meeting academic goals Design and implement band performances with the High School Band ensembles throughout the year including scheduled Winter and Spring Concerts at the High School Provide information and develop a positive ensemble culture to with students and their families so they can better understand the culture of the performing arts and their impact on our community Prepare materials for each class as needed, such as syllabi and handouts according to the curriculum Administer assessments to evaluate students’ progress in their knowledge and performance on their individual instruments, music technology, or theory skills. Design and deliver engaging music lessons aligned to state and national standards. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and varying skill levels. Maintain an organized, safe, and inclusive classroom and rehearsal space. Prepare students to take the AP Music Theory exam.

According to CEA salary scale, Starting $54,123 If you are offered a position with Chichester School District, please be advised that the following information will be required before you are able to begin working : State Police Clearance (Act 34)
