Private Music Teacher (Voice/Guitar/Piano) Liberty Music Academy 236 Muir Avenue, Nolensville, TN 37135 We have the following teaching positions open at

Liberty Music Academy:

1. Monday On-Site Instructor Specifically, we need a voice/guitar/piano instructor every Monday from 3:30-8:30pm starting 6/16 at our on-site location. If you teach more instruments than that, we are more than happy to broaden this studio, but we at least need beginner-advanced voice, beginner-intermediate guitar, and beginner-intermediate piano covered. One thing to note

  • our on-site program includes one Group Class Week each month where students do NOT meet for private lessons.

This means you will not teach these weeks unless you are scheduled to teach group Performance or Industry classes. Please note that this is a

TEACHER TRANSITION

. As of now, you’d be taking over for the following students: 3:30-4:30

  • 14 year old female intermediate voice 4:30-5:00
  • 7 year old male beginner piano 5:00-6:00
  • OPEN 6:00-6:30
  • 9 year old female beginner piano 6:30-7:30
  • 8 year old male beginner piano 7:00-8:30
  • OPEN 2.

Wednesday In-Home Instructor Specifically, we need a voice/guitar/piano instructor every Wednesday from 3:50-7:30pm starting 6/18 for in-home lessons.   • 16 year old male intermediate voice 3.

Thursday In-Home Instructor Specifically, we need a voice/guitar/piano instructor every Thursday from 4:50-6:55pm starting 6/19 for in-home lessons. If you teach more instruments than that, we are more than happy to broaden this studio, but we at least need beginner-advanced voice, beginner-intermediate guitar, and beginner-intermediate piano covered. TEACHER TRANSITION

. As of now, you’d be taking over for the following students: 4:50-5:20

  • 9 year old female beginner piano 5:20-5:50
  • 9 year old female beginner voice 35 min travel 6:25-6:55
  • 9 year old female beginner guitar We are open to the same teacher picking up M/W/Th, or giving one teacher M, one teacher W, one teacher Th, etc.
Requirements:

Must have a positive and welcoming demeanor and good people skills, especially with youth and their parents. Must have a clean background check. Must be consistently available for on-site lessons on a weekly basis during contracted hours. Must have experience teaching the needed instruments privately at all levels in a wide range of genres to ages 5-18. Must have reliable transportation, an unexpired driver’s license, and clean driving record.

Compensation & Hours:

Our instructors are expected to be available consistently for their contracted hours, keeping in mind that student retention will fluctuate seasonally and affect studio numbers. Our in-home instructors are paid $30/teaching hour plus $20/lesson residence visited. Our on-site instructors are paid $30/teaching hour. All other staff commitments (onboarding, recitals, showcases, staff meetings, etc.) are paid at $20/hr. We require at least 2 weeks notice for time off requests

  • while we do our best to be flexible regarding time off, please keep in mind that we do expect our teachers to be consistent and reduce time off requests to a minimum.

We expect our teachers to be present the two weeks before our bi-yearly recitals (if they have students performing) and cannot approve time off requests during this period. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging music lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management techniques. Assess student progress and adapt curriculum periodically to enhance learning. Encourage creativity, self-expression, and engagement in students through various musical activities, including songwriting, music technology, composition, etc. Communicate regularly with parents and admin regarding student development and performance through consistent attendance and lesson note submission. Attend quarterly staff meetings to collaborate on program development and student success. Give students a strong foundation in music fundamentals including music theory, aural skills, and rhythm reading. Thank you and we look forward to interviewing you!
