07/18/2024 St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church inPembroke Pines, Florida has an opening for a full-time Director ofYouth Ministry who provides vision and coordination for theparish’s efforts in ministry to young people from 5th through 12thgrades, and Young Adults. This includes high school and middleschool sessions (weekly gatherings), Sunday Life-teen Mass (6pm),monthly activities, bible study, weekly adoration, fundraisingevents, summer camps and retreats. This person is responsible fordesigning, developing and implementing programs and events toenhance and foster the faith formation of the youth. The Directorof Youth Ministry would work collaboratively with the pastor, andother parish staff. Director of Youth Ministry performs all dutiesand responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision andvalues of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies or relatedfield or has completed the Archdiocesan School of Ministry, andfive years’ experience as an employee in a parish. A Catholic in good standing, who understands and supports themission of the Church and of the Archdiocese of Miami. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong skills in Microsoft Office and other moderntechnologies. Good oral and written English-language communication skills,including clear speaking voice. Good oral and written Spanish-language spoken communicationskills. Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church and parishstructures.
