Job Description
The Philosophy Department in the College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University seeks a part-time instructor of Philosophy to teach an online section of PHI 293, Ethics & the Media Professions, a 3 credit course during fall 2025 semester. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department. All positions and offers are subject to funding availability and enrollment.
Course Description:
Great traditions in ethical theory; application to television, film, new media. Role of ethics in program and content development; and in business practices. Ethical issues arising from social networking, globalization, and new trends in the media. This position is anticipated to be filled on a fully remote basis. Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible.
