169073 The Film and Visual Media Program in the Department of English at Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for one Semester to a Visiting Associate Professor in English with a specialization in Film Studies to begin Fall 2025. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of Film and Visual Media Studies and contributing to program building and strategic planning. The successful candidate will be engaged in helping to sustain, and to continue to develop, a top-ranked Film program. We are especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the excellence of the academic community. Those with additional specializations in other creative genres are especially encouraged to apply. The qualified applicant will have a terminal degree in Film Studies (MFA or PhD), and a substantial publication record, including at least one book, as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Priority will be given to applications should be received by June 30, 2025, and should include the following: –Academic C.V. –Cover Letter detailing the candidate?s qualifications and Fim and Visual Background.
